Hi Daniël,

City streets can look a bit "tired" in the daytime, but shooting them at night with all the different kinds of lighting brings out the beauty of the place much better.

A lovely night shot. Strange to see the upperbodies of the persons in motion and the legs much more recognisable.

A warm and attractive city street, great exposure and light balance as usual Daniel.. I'm not sure if it that pole with a bicycle sign on it was leaning left or it is the lens distortion can't tell since the walls of the buildings are straight.. thanks

This image brings back memories for me, Daniel - for my first business trip to London, way back when I was but a lad, I stayed in a hotel in Jermyn Street and wandered drunk along here more than once. Happy Days ;-)

The low POV makes this for me and the composition is excellent - I particularly like the placement of the cycle-lane sign at the top left of the shot. I think that's a very professional touch and a good lesson in composition. The blurred walkers are a cool effect, but maybe too small/blurred to have the dramatic impact that they might otherwise have had?

the pov and the colors on this one really give a cool mood to the composition... kinda like the feeling you just stepped out of the apartment, and just started to head out for an evening of bar hopping... hehe! if i'd nit-pick, i'd say i really find the 'ghosts' a bit distracting... cheers!

I would kill to know your settings here Daniel!! The clarity is incredible..just about the time I think you've done as good as it gets..you blow me away with another one! The purple in this hits me hard! A great complimentary color to the beige walls of the building! The blurred people is just amazing...how in the world??? Wonderful work!

A great capture using low light. A cyclist wearing blue in the shot would have made big difference as u spotted the prominent sign in the foreground.

I am always amazed and impressed by your shots, Daniel. This particular one, has the perfect "catch" to pull it out of the ordinary, I am referring to the ghostly appearances of the two, and I also to the dark background lit by the street lamp who passes as a false moon...A Tim Burton movie's mood, if you're not offended by the comparison.

As usuall a perfect lighted evening picture.
Imo the pole in fronmt is destracting, it would have been much better if it was straight vertical.
The feets on the street, are nice but without body, in this picture.

Like the mood.
Like the POV : on one knee or both on the pavement ? ;-)

The only " but " I have is that walking couple.
Just because there is only one and rather small
they are more distracting than saying
" a city in action "
