A field of buttercups for Helen's theme. I suppose I should google buttercup now and find out lots of intersting facts for you but I have to go to the supermarket so you will have to do that for yourselves :D

hello Bev,
I got a laugh out of your note. I love this field of buttercups with the soft focus.
Well suited for the theme.
TFS, Joni

Hello Bev,

Your shot really cheered me up on a very wet, autumnal day!
The buttercups in the f/g resemble puppets in a puppet theatre and crtainly appear top be addressing the audience.
A lovely, soft mellow yellow b/g completes the effect.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Many thanks for your comments on my 'Mellow Yellow' contribution. Is it significant that we both chose weeds?

I love the way you worked the background Bev. Nice even colour and a nice addition to the theme,
David

Hello, Bev. There's definitely not enough pictures of our wonderful buttercups on these sites! Despite being well stopped-down to f/14, you have managed to use a shallow depth-of-field to throw the background well out of focus with wonderful masses of yellow in the area behind the main subject.

Very nicely done!

Best Wishes,

John.

Hello Bev,the buttercup in all its stages in front of a lovely soft focused field with a golden glow.
You know that you could have had someone with a buttercup under their chin!Did you ever do that when you were a child? "Do you like butter?"
Your note made me smile.
Tfs, regards Jean.

hi Bev,

wonderful colour here.. i like to be in a field of yellow as we don't have like this here.. the blurred one sure look mellow.. excellent composition and beautiful contribution to this week theme.. tfs..

regards, terry

Hello Bev,
I am very impressed with this composition. A delightful feature is the sumptuous background, it reminds me of the works of the great painter like Monet. The buttercups are lit brilliantly and appears sharp and delicate. A wonderful contribution to the theme. Danilo

Hello Bev

A wonderful shot here, love th soft BG and the nice black framing contrasts well.

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen

Excellent image, nice composition originality.Well done.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hi Bev.

Beautiful addition to the theme. I love the slightly soft and fuzzy 'feel' this has. My only suggestion would be to have had the main flowers slightly higher so they could dominate the scene a bit more. However, that's being picky! Lovely piece of work. Regards, Paul.
