This is a lovely shot of this sparrow. I love all the colours in his wings.
I wouldn't worry about the b/g because the eye seems to be immediately drawn to the sparrow anyway.

Sweet capture . I love the paparazzi style here (^_^). Great luminosity. Personnally, the overexposed BG , is not too distracting. I find it is instead enhancing the 3D effect.

Sharp details in the sparra and a great expression on its face. The overexposed background is a little distracting and could be removed with some clone work.

OK Linzi, this is a stellar shot!

Perfectly framed, though I usually prefer off-center framing I Think this time this worked well. The bird is looking at you and its clear, crisp, well lit and nice color.
