[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Trekisters,

Ok something differnt today, you know how somtimes you get off work a bit early and come home and just start playing about with photoshop? Well that happenend to me today. I am not a great fan of lots of PP I belive in capturing the moment although I only say that cos I am not very good at PP! But today I let myself go crazy and this is the result.

The original photo was quite weird to start with which is why I let myself go with heavy PP. It was taken at the Maverick Pub in (I think) wolverhampton, correct me if I am wrong John. I was taken on my brothers Lumix and is of him playing a gig although only his hand and guitar are actually on the picture. The face you can see is Rob the drummer who has been on treklens before check out rhythmthieve's photos. The band are The Rhythm Thieves.

I will post the original as a workshop so you can see cos I quite like the original too.

As always let me know good or bad what you think.

Awesome abstract - great pp work.. it creates an energetic rush vibe.. nice sense of motion captured. I really like the colouors and atmosphere.

Nice to meet you again, Tom, although it seems you got crazy while I was absent. Hmm, didn't think I can't leave you alone for a couple of weeks...

Now, I really don't know which one I prefer, I simply like both of them! The original lets one really jump into the atmosphere of a rock band, the other one is abstract and artistic in a way that suits the subjct very well. I could imagine both hanging one beside the other on the wall of a rock-café...

Well done, Tom, keep on being crazy!

Top class, superb, I want a print! This would make a great framed picture worthy of a place on anyone's wall. This could be the next album cover photo for the Rhythm Thieves!

Interesting PP work and a good initial photo. We did think about using this one on the album cover!
I agree with you, I think I prefer the original too. But I like the colours in the PP version, and the abstract impression of the guitar. Nice work!

Hello Tom ! Well done on the compo and the wonderful PP. It reminds me of some album covers of the 60's and 70's like Ten Years After or another guitar group ! I really like it. Thanks,

Hello Tom you seem to be describing what I do when I come home from work and I should upload some of my efforts nice choice of colours and good colour contrasts working here tfs rgds Necip.

first i liked this one, than i prefered the original, for its simple red tones, but finally i do prefer your pp work :)
great psychedelic colour combination.
quite abstract shot: like the motion, the unusual framing
and POV.
interesting idea - well done.
