welcome to TL. Let me be honest: this photo does not show anything interesting for the observer (like me) who does not know the context. For you it may present some emotional impact - it's your friend, you were on a night walk, you tried to take some shots, etc... For me it's a back of a man lighted with harsh, flat flash light. Nothing else :-) Sorry, but I perceive this shot just like I wrote....
i like the basic idea about the pic and it does communicate a feeling of lonelyness. The colours are very nice, too, especially the corresponding colours of your friends pullover and the sky (a coincidence, right?). Unfortunatly the flash was slightly too strong (tricky thing - don't like to use the flash myself;-)). maybe you can change the settings on your camera!
