[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot because the sky was particularly forboding on this day, very dark in places and I could actually see the rain falling out to sea, the seat looked so isolated and boy was it cold.
After shooting this view I got absoloutley soaked by the down pour I had just photographed before I could get anywhere near to my car.
After only a few minutes I was frozen and the cars heater took ages to work.
I have changed teh picture to B&W and felt this portrayed just how cold the seat and the whole day really was.( infact is is a very long time since I have been so cold).
I added some noise to the shot to give it a slight sketch look.

Hello Andy;
It's a very grievous picture...
It reminds me loneliness..
TFS

Hi Andy,

wonderful shot, nice composition. I like the ambient you create, the clouds are dramatic. Nice textures.

excellent! tfs,

ferran

Nice layering effect Andy, works very well in black and white. Like the fact that the horizon is not central to the picture. And your bench is perfectly sited. Terrific composition.

Great work. Excellent chois for B&W - conveys the cold you very well. Great textures of grass, water and sky adding to the cold and lonely atmosphere of the bench.

Hi Andy, beautiful B/N photo. Well done. Brava!

I like the forboding sky. The lonely bench adds to the lonliness. Full of grey from the dull day which adds a lot of atmosphere. I like it, and well done.

Great photograph, Andy ! It sure looks cold and damp, and it sounds like you really were suffering to take this one.

Very moody pic.

Hi Andy,

I know the photo is supposed to be dismal, but it soothes me, it makes me happy. I think that implies it's a good photo, since it can touch the onlooker in such a way, that it changes the viewer's mood. The clouds seem to be painted in, it's a beautiful photo.

Biance.
