[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My entry for the Friday theme is 'The Giants Causeway' in Northern Ireland.
Now owned by the National Trust, thousands and thousands of visitors come here each year.
A product of volcanic activity, there are estimated to be over 40,000 thousand columns; most are six sided but there are others with fewer or more sides.
Black basalt, the columns can be very slippery when wet,so one has to be careful when trying to get a good PoV.
There are so many people visiting that it is not easy to get a shot with no-one on it!
Certainly a fascinating place.
It was a grey day, I couldn't even see the horizon!
Thanks for looking.

HI Jean, a perfect contribution for this theme, very well composed, perfectly captured and presented.
Regards Rose

Hi Jean,

The length pf the rock field is giving depth to the composition, the repetition of the rocks is going well with the Friday's theme. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the rocks and of the mountain. The light id giving a good contrast to the colours. Have a nice day.

What a fascinating picture Jean, well captured.

The people give the scene scale and emphasises the perspective from your POV.

Hi, Jean. This is one of the patterns that are my favoured of what I've ever seen. The Giants Causeway is so impressive, we'll never forget it.
Very well caught!
Thanks for this posting.

Joop.
