Hello everyone,

today the iron bridge at Ironbridge, built in 1779 to the design and specification of Abraham Darby.
The Ironbridge Gorge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

"The world's first bridge constructed of iron, has had a considerable influence on developments in the fields of technology and architecture."

Ironbridge is known throughout the world as the symbol of the Industrial Revolution.

I chose this particular shot as I liked the shadow of the ironwork on the river.A very bright day!
Thanks for looking.

Hi Jean, Bonjour,
Beautiful presentation of this iron bridge at Ironbridge built in 1779 on Unesco world Heritage.
great architecture and details ..
good tone of colors and light.
very well done.
Michel

Awesome capture of this old bridge, that shows you that bridges designed and built long time ago are much better than modern bridges and most of them are still in use. I like your pov and great lighting. Very well done, tfs.

A good idea to include part of the bridge and show the ironwork to a greater extent. That is some dirty water ! TFS

Hello Jean, I was thinking you must hate the hygiene homophone.

About your pic, to think this was built only ten years after Captain Cook discovered New Zealand.
Your crop works well, it shows us much more detail than a whole span composition would.

Congrats on 400 posts too, well done.

Pete.

I like this bridge, elegant and full immersed in the green, but the river....is worrying, it seems bloody! Why this color?
Regards
Elena
