I thought this image fitted the theme, mainly because of the relationship of the figure and the shadow/reflection in the mirror. But also it fits the theme on a wider level too. It was one of my daughter's bridesmaids being fitted into her dress on a day where relationships were significant in every way.
I only had a little compact camera with me on the day, deciding to leave the photography to the professional wedding photographer. But I took some shots of the girls getting ready in the hotel and liked the idea of using mirrors. Knowing nothing of portrait photography, I am aware that the lighting is not as it should be. |

Hi Joy.
Very good idea and addition to theme friday, i like the idea of the shadow being part of the relationship. The shadow to the right though is a little distracting from the flash. the splash of colour against the pale backdrop adds the appeal also. tfs

In fact, I secretly hoped to see her face in the mirror, and seeing only the shadow is simply a wonderful deception ...
Hello Joy, yet another interesting take on the theme!
A great interpretation.
I am a little distracted by what is happening in the bottom right hand corner;so I think that I might have cropped it just above the bridesmaids' elbow.The lower part as described does not add to the shot, what do you think?
