[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Walking by the canal side I couldn't resist taking some shots of sunflowers, they always appeal to me. Rather than upload a colour image though, I decided to experiment with a B/w conversion as I liked the strong shadows on the petals.

Shot in RAW, converted to B/W with an orange filter, cropped to a square format, sharpened and added a border.

Hello Joy,
It's a beautiful compisition with vaide variety of greys to see. Fine details in monochrome is looking interesting in bright light. Excellent post my friend, well done. Thanks for sharing.

Joy,
Ireally like taking this usally colorful flower and creating a monochrome image. The square framing is a great choice making a strong composition showing the light interplaying with the subject.
