|This family of birds has made its nest in a thick bush of clematis in our garden and I have been watching their daily rituals lately. Every evening about 7.pm a sparrow hawk flies past where this bird is sat looking for prey. I think the birds in our nest are still tiny and this is the mother keeping a look out. When the hawk approaches, she dives under our car on the driveway, diverting the hawk away from the nest underneath. |
Although I used my long lens for this shot, I still had to crop down quite a bit, so hope the image hasn't suffered too much from that.

This finch looks curious to me. Nicely drawn in this frame. Evening luminosity on it's fur is looking interesting. Lovely catch from nature, well done. Thanks for sharing.
