My contribution to the Friday theme, 'It's in the details.'
A piece of sculpture by the artist Kate Semple. Here she has used Portland stone and handblown glass.
Unfortunately I did not take a longer distance shot of this particular piece,I just honed in on these details, as I liked the different textures of the stone and the beautiful colourd glass.
I hope that this fills the brief.

If you want to see more of Kate's work, just use your search engine and type in her name. She does some fantastic work imo.

This shot was taken like previous shots, at the annual exhibition at Delamore House, now closed until next year.

PP:I cropped ever so slightly, added contrast and resized.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Jean,
A fine modern sculpture with such impeccable details in this colored glass inserted in stone.
A very sharp image and an original contribution for the theme.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hello Jean

Looks like Christmas baubles or pearl buttons! Good close up shot of the sculpture with excellent textural details of the surrounding grey stone that contrasts well against the smooth shiny & colorful blue & green circles. Tfs!

Hi Jean.

The piece of work is a loverly idea to make, i'm sure the light passing through must be so magical. Your capture has done so much justice in portraying this beauty, the circles intrigue, the colours match. It so fits the brief for theme friday Jean, make no mistake on that one. I've been scratching my head all afternoon as to what to do and post for tomorrows theme, its good and frightening when your mind goes blank. lol

Bonsoir Jean,

Interesting contribution to the theme. I would have never guess what it is since the details belongs to an unknow subject to me. However, your contribution shows you tried to focus on the sculture details, and this is the goal of the them, "It's in the details". Exposure and focus are good, soft light is adequate. TFS.

A wonderful contribution to Friday's theme, Jean!

Superb sharpness and nice clarity with good use of natural light.
DOF is excellent, and light is very well handled.
This iece of artwork is beautifully shown from a well thought POV!

Very nice entry for the theme. Good colors and details

Hi Jean, definitely fits the bill for the theme. I thought it was glass but it looked a lot like the top of glasses. Love the colours and the patterns in the glass. Fiona

Will be mostly green elements… what a great demonstration of colours by these symbols and indeed an excellent image well done

A very attractive entry to this weeks theme. The arrangement of colours is lovely as is its context of plain stone. Good clarity and lighting.

Hello Jean :)

The very original and mysterious composition in pretty colours and light.
This really is the riddle, interesting the contribution to the subject of Friday very much.
I congratulate on idea and realization! :)

With best wishes.

Bonjour Jean,
Jolie entrée dans le thème, avec ces jolis détails de cette sculpture...
Le mélange de pierre et des différentes couleurs du verre est très bien managé comme des pierres précieuses dans un écrin....

Salaam Jean,
Modern sculpture, it hard to follow for me and what I count is the colours as there is orange red and yellow missing, this takes time to follow the mood of artist but it is shot very perfectly, beside the hardness of stone there is a smooth thought behind, TFS.
