A close up of a clematis flower, type 'Nelly Moser'.
The flowers are quite large, 12-15 cms across, they look beautiful as they climb up the trellis.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Jean.

So good that both of us were on same wavelength today. The light and shade once more playing its part, the illuminated top of the fronds lays so well with the colours of the petal, they are such an attractive bloom, neat work Jean. Have a cool one. TFS

Hi jean,
I expected a much more sharp heart from you. You opted to focus on the back petals, I wish I could see the heart of the flower in perfect focusing. Light is splendid and the frame is adequate.
I cannot give full marks for this. I'm sorry!

Hi Jean

Most of the heart is in good focus. What you gain in greater dof you'd lose in the fg softness. I like the wideangled crop & tight framing. Gorgeous colour saturation & good density & light contrasts. Have a nice weekend!

Bom dia Jean,
That's a photo to be proud, an excellent macro from a beautiful reprodutive segments from flowers. Nice POV/DOF, colors and details. Very good sharpness.
Have a good Sunday.

Beautiful flower! Nicely captured with good lighting. Wonderful colors with good saturation. Great pov and dof with nice details. But I probably would have used a smaller lens opening for better dof, otherwise well done, tfs.

Boa noite Jean,

Very good closeup full of beautiful colors and light.
Nice frame and a very good presentation.

Dear Jean,

I have to agree with Francis on the issue of focusing this floral post!

I do feel the need of focusing on the fire petals rather than going for the rear one. This may enhance the overall appeal of the scene IMHO. Kindly don't take it personally as this is just my observation and the way I see floral macros.

Best regards,

Very nice Jean ... this is a lovely variety of Clematis. Beautiful bright vibrant colors. As Francis said, I would have prefered to see all of the stamen in sharp focus, but still a lovey photo.
