A water lily? Yes,but not as you know it! It is actually a sculpture, made from stainless steel.

This is just as I took it, with no desaturation, just a little colour from the glass sphere in the centre of the flower.
It is by Ian Marlow ARBS,a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors [Patron HM The Queen.]

Taken at the art show held annually at Delamore House, Cornwood, near Plymouth.

Thanks for looking.

A wonderful piece of art you have shown here, Jean

I like the light which brings certain glow in this steel sculpture.
The sharpness and POv are excellent, where the piece of art filling up the whole frame makes this work even more strong.
Well done!

Have a nice Sunday.

Kind regards,

Hi Jean.

Very nice crop, a perfect example of an item or subject we need not see all of. I like the colours and movement of the water below, the light across the top contrasts the sculpture very well. The extra movement of water top right intrigues the viewer. TFS.

Stv :0))

Just off out to find the flame.

Hi Jean,I like your choice of composition, for this art piece, unlike the real flower,as Steve has already noted, we do not need to seee the whole subject,& what you chose to show us is quite vibrant,I like how this artwork fills your whole frame.I should image the subjects material is very reflective & prone to over exposure, which you have avoided well.Good crisp details & I like the various hues you capture of the metal, the darker stalks, really show of the petals & leaf's.Well Done.I can see why this caught your interest & attention.

What a good capture of the sculpture that fooled me first to think its a lily that you unsaturated the colors. Well done & TFS

Hi Jean,
It really seems real! A sort of monochromatic presentation, only recognisable from the red spot in the heart of the flower.
A splendid capture of this fine stainless steel sculpture.
Good light and accurate focusing.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Jean,
A great perspective that was composed well. Great exposure and softness despite being perfectly sharpened. Well done!

Hi Jean.

I thought it looked a bit metallic. Good framing and sharpness with nice minimalist colour. Good wavy motions & reflections on a good diagonal axis captured in the water. Tfs!

Beautiful sculpture and it look very real. Nicely captured with good pov and dof with nice details. Great lighting. Well done, tfs.

Witaj Jean!
