Bom dia Steve,

Beautiful magnolia and colors,
Excellent background and natural light.
Parabéns!
Sergio

Hi Steve, the Magnolia shortly before opening is beautiful - I like the light fall on the front petal, looks nearly like begging for the sunshine.
Its a very nice color of a Magnolia - have to find a spot in our garden.
Kindest regards - Monika

Hi Steve!

Good sharpness, backlight, color, and shallow dof with nice repetition of the bg circles of confusion. A good entry in the untouched theme. All I would do, is add a little saturation. Tfs!

Hi Steve, good choice for this weeks theme.I like your DOF & how you chose to fill the frame with the Magnolia. There are two area's I would work on with PP work. [1] I would darken your background by selecting the flower then choose inverse to darken evenly all of the background,I think it would make your main subject stand out more. [2] I would select the brown bulb part & lighten it a little.Just my two cents worth
you can agree to disagree with it, I understand if this were not an out of camera shot,I would not need to make any suggestions.
Regards
Ron

Hi Steve,

The tight frame is putting the flower in evidence. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the magnolia. The afternoon light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Except for some parts of this lovely Magnolia flower (going to bloom in the days to come) are tend to OE but overall the picture worked well for me, Steve :O))

Good focus and perfect sharpness with amazing POV and well kept DOF.
The colors are natural and clarity is well shown.
A vertical frame suits the composition well, in addition to the fact that the picture makes a nice contribution to Friday's theme.

Best regards,
Paras

Not bad at all Steve , remember it is 'untouched' and this is the topic behind the theme today, i know you can put this already pleasant composition into an even more exquisite presentation with minor adjustments at most.
A little oe'd there under and at the tip of the bulb but a minor issue really .
With respects to today's exercise and compliance with it i think in earnest that you have done a pretty good job my friend .
Have a great weekend,
Carol
