[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last weekend we ran a studio workshop with a group of photographers who wanted to learn some set ups and techniques to use in a studio setting.

For this shot we used a 5ft Octagonal Soft Box set to F8 on the right side, very close in to the model to get the soft wrap round light on her skin, raised slightly above her eye level to get the catch light in the corner of her eye.

Hi Miles,
Superb portrait shot, the lighting couldn't be better imo, pin sharp focus on her eyes with the light sparkling in there and beautiful tones in the B&W - nice work. Best wishes
Bri

Hi Miles,
Good portrait shot,I like how your lighting set up, has highlighted her facial area & really made her eye's shine.I do have a negative though & it appears there's a smudging around her top lip to the viewers left side & when blown up a little larger, there is some noise or pixelation on her neck, not sure if this would be a problem if printing an 8 x 10 or larger size? Have removed the smudging with a WS.Sorry no WS I see you don't allow them.
Regards
Ron

Hi Miles, This really is a beautiful protrait shot, those eyes really stand out and the striped band framing her face works really well.Fiona
