[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A view across one of the lakes in the grounds of Arlington Court.
I took this as a Panoramic image, also as HDR.
On completion, I duplicated the layer and desaturated the colours.
I then mixed the two layers of full colour and monochrome to this required effect.
I especially liked the way the trees tend to stand out in this experiment.

Ciao Steve, fashinating place, lovely composition with nice reflections, splendid light and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Steve, this reminds me of the early colour photos where tints were used to shade in the different areas.
The PP has worked a treat; as you say, the trees do stand out, and yet my eyes keep going back to the building, because it is desaturated.
Excellent composition and a lovely reflection as a bonus.
Regards Jean.

Hi Steve,
a pleasant view of the English countryside which would benefit from a Large Version.
PP work enhances the old look of the photograph

Hi Steve,
An interesting look. I had to look at it for some time before I really started to appreciate what you had done in PP. I like the mood it sets very well. Looks like an old time painting or early photo.
I'm impressed!

Hi,I like the composition and atmosphere in this shot but I think you lost sharpness with the PP work.It is still a great picture, all the best,Otto.

There is an harmony in this place that you catch very well.

Hi Steve,
A very good post processing. Looks like a period painting. I should try this technique on one of my photos. My only problem is why is the image so small?
