[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I stopped briefly at Widemouth bay and saw this chap trying to surf. I didn't see him stand up once.
This was at the end of my 300mm lens (480 with the crop factor) and I still had to crop the photo. I achieved what I wanted, which is to show how insignificant we are when faced with the power of nature.
I'm quite happy with it (although the wife prefers another one, which I may post tomorrow) but what do you think?

Hello Robert! Dangerous wave. Brave man. Fantastic scene. Good natural lightness and brightness. Good colours. Superb contrast and sharpness. Very good composition. Dynamic effect. Well done!

Robert

I wish I could compare with your other photo but I should wait and see.
I like the message of this scene and the power of nature.
The red helmet of the person is essential, it gives the notion of danger and a focal point.
There are good details despite the distance and cropping.
Interesting observation well timed.

Hey Robert, I will wait to see the other photo but until then I like this one, it is clear enough and good well exposed. I can see the great power of the nature and weakness of humanity against it. Well Done.

Hi,

Nice shot with good title which makes us to feel the same. Nice focus and good in details.

Kishore

Hi Robert,
The red red helmet is a definite focal point amongst the powerful and dangerous white waters of the wave. That is some paddle and a lot of fitness and skills involved. Interesting and well timed image.
erwin..

Well I agree that this shot is fantastic. Clearly visible is the power and force of nature.

Ciao BobSmith!

Fine take.
Very dynamic composition.
Good quality.
Good effect, sophisticated effect.
Cheers!

Im disappointed you dont post the photo information. It must be a good 300mm lens. The detail is good. Did you use a tripod?
regards
David
