Up Close.

This is another plant found at the Tresco Abbey Gardens, Scilly Isles, but afraid that I do not have the name for it.

There is a point i have found when using macro on certain flowers that by getting too close, you tend to loose the perspective of what you are looking at. Here, I tried to get close but sufficiently back to see what i was trying to capture.

Hi Steve

Excellent use ofa shallow dof with good sharpness & textural details. Especially between the upper green seed pods & the lower yellow tipped stamens. Tfs!

HI Steve, I admire the sharpness of the plant and the setting, there is nothing to discract the eye. The framing goes very well with it.
I am always amazed about Macro.
Kind regards - Monika

Bom dia Steve
fine sharpness and light. I like your point of view and the visual effect of the open of leaves. In the same image we can see the animation of the process. THe presentation is excellent too.
A botanic photo that anybook of this subject could be plaised to have.
Um abraço

Agree with your note. That if we are getting too close, sometimes we are not showing flower shot. And in this case, i think it would be really nice to have an abstract shot out of this flower. Of course if we are going to get an abstract

Oh wow, this is a beauty! I love the sharp focus on the central part of the photo. The light is perfect too ...not too bright, not too dark. Very well done Steve.

Amazing focus you have managed to achieve on this lovely flowering plant, Steve :)

Great sharpness and well clarity with promising details enhance the overall appeal of the picture drastically.
Well caught mood and charm in this floral posting.

Thanks for sharing.

Kind regards,
Paras :))

Helo Steve,a fantastic macro of this unusual flower.[Sorry I haven't a clue as to what it is.]
Love the PoV with the green buds at the top and the stamen on the lower part.
I know what you mean about using the macro, sometimes I am pleasantly surprised by the results, and other times very disappointed!
A good crop, well done.
Tfs, regards Jean.
