Hello everyone,
another visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
If you want to see curves then the sculptures of Dame Barbara Hepworth are where to see them. She had an amazing skill at creating beautiful smooth shapes from extremely hard pieces of rock, stone and wood.

The garden is an ideal place for these pieces to be viewed. You are able to see the sculptures from all angles, and with the bonus of a variety of plants growing around them, offering textures, shadows and light as the sun tries to pierce the foliage.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,

A very interesting curved feature!
I have never been to Cornwall ... but certainly a must when we eventually get there!
It is sharply focussed and brings out the texture and patina of the sculpture.
I know I'm being picky, but a tighter crop at the bottom, to remove the lower plinth, make the sculpture fit really snuggly into the right angle of the frame.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Very nice colors and detail. Good pov. A lovely sculpture. TFS

Hello Jean,

A lovely balanced image, both in composition and in colour. The "levels" are spot on here.

The sculpture and the BG foliage complement each other beautifully.

Regards,

Peter.

Michel bon weekend..

I want that sculpture! I can imagine how smooth this is! I might would have cropped a little closer, removing space from the top and right side. That is all I can see. Nice contribution to the theme Jean!!

Bonjour Jean,
Une oeuvre d'art qu'on pourrait imaginer crée exclusivement pour le thème du jour tant elle s'y rapporte !
Bon week-end,
Antoine

Hello Jean
Good contribution to the theme. You captured the effect like a pro. The curves of the sculpture are all there in your single shot. Sharp detail of the patinated bronze.
Nice shot
