[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello everyone,I haven't posted for a while as we have been away, and I won't be able to post in the near future for a while, as we are moving house, but I did want to post one or two shots whilst I had the chance.

We were in St.Ives in Cornwall last week, and as we wandered the little narrow streets I noticed this rather striking chimney with its ruff of greenery. Also I liked the range of colours and textures on the buildings close by.And just for once, we had a beautiful blue sky!

I have adjusted the exposure and contrast a little; added a tiny bit of saturation, cropped out a part of a plastic door, rotated one degree and resized for posting.

Thanks for looking.I may be out of action for a short time, but I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Hello, Jean.

Firstly, Bon Voyage! Have a good house-move (if there is such a thing) - I hope it goes as stress-free as possible!

I like this shot, with these lovely buildings gradually being overtaken by Nature, with their bricks crumbling, roofs sagging and evrywhere being taken over by greenery. Lovely rextures throughout, good colours and excellent sharpness.

I trust that your new home will be in better condition than these! Mind you, here's nothing much wrong with that brick wall that a spot of pargetting wouldn't put to right, eh?

Have a good move, Jean. See you soon.

Kind Regards,

John.

Jean,

Nice, sharp detail here, and a great collection of shapes and angles - with or without the ruff - but it's definitely a bonus!

Regards
Colin

hello Jean,
a good light shows off the colours and textures of the chimney and surrounding architectural detail very well. There are so many interesting and contrasting textures here. I like it. Like you I have not been posting much recently but hope to get back to it. Hope your house move goes smoothly.
Bev

Hello Jean,

I like this a lot - a wonderful collection of disparate colours and textures - verticals, diagonals, and even a few sagging horizontals.

Well spotted, crisp, clear and neatly presented.

Kind regards,

Peter.

Hi Jean
a lovely combination of textures.
Good clarity of a funny plant-pot, nice composition.
greetings
tsilla
