Hello everyone,
here we are on the beach at Porthcurno.
Where are all the people on this sunny day in October/
Well somehow I managed to make this shot with no-one visible;there were actually quite a few people enjoying the sunshine.

Porthcurno was once an important place on the map.
It was the centre of world telecommunication and, until recently, there was a training school for that industry to which people came from all over the world.

The Porthcurno Telegraph Museum remains as a reminder of the past.

Porthcurno Beach is about 3 miles east of Land's End on the south coast of west Cornwall. It faces South East and lies in the western corner of Porthcurno Bay.
The sandy beach shelves quite quickly.

On the cliffs above is the world famous Minack Theatre.Between May and September, each year, performances are given by a variety of theatrical companies.

There are many lovely cliff and coastal wlks in this area.

The beach was so clean and the sand so golden.
Hope that you enjoy the view, and thanks for looking.

I like how these footprints lead us into the scene. Very nice colors and detail. A beautiful capture of the waves. TFS

Hi Jean, we visited here a few years ago and just love Cornwall. It is one place that I would love to come back and visit one day.

I do like the solitary footprints on the wet sand. And the breaking wave gives a good feel to the image
Well done

Nice job.
Great light and beautifully managed exposure. The ultra sharp detail of sand, rocks, and bursting wave; the perfect balance between land and sky. Very well done!

hi jean,

great image here, you have all the right elements, sand, sea, rock, sky. very good composition. the freeze of the crashing waves is very good, good colours, textures and details.

regards cd

A pleasant scenic view and with the extra interest of footprints for some implied stories that have passed by. Love the crashing surf. I also like the workshop showing how some stronger punch adds visual impact. Well done:)
