[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Padstow is a quaint little fishing port on the North Cornwall coast. At this time of year there are not many visitors and in the summer months it would be impossible to take this kind of image.

It was a very cold afternoon and the light was very clear. As I was only passing through I did not have my camera gear with me unfortunately. I did have the little compact in the car though and took a few images of the town showing it's quiet side, before the many visitors for the Christmas holidays.

Only PP work was a little bit of saturation to the reds and yellows and a slight contrast added.

Hi Joy,
A very sharp image of this landscape shot. This makes a perfect postcard of this lovely small harbor. Splendid light and nice vivid colors. I like the POV and the light management.
Well done for this neat work.

Francis Xavier

Hello.

Joy.

very refreshing to see images of places I know so well, your capture is very crisp and clean, can almost feel the nip in the air. I like your positioning, you have the foreground in shade making an interesting scene as we see the far coloured boats basking in full light. I also like the shape of the skyline, raking down from the left and levelling out. Great scene Joy. tfs

I find fishing ports can be very busy and this one is no exception, but you have managed to find a nice balance. I think this is well composed and has good accurate colours. I do find the bottom left hand side to be a little dark, but with the light contrast very difficult to eliminate. Still a good effort and a pleasing scene.

Hi Joy,
A nice caught of view of this fishing port in North Cornwall coast,
beautiful naturel colors and light with a sharp presentation,
Nice reflection on water and excellent point of view,
good work and composition.
compliments
Michel

Simply stunning Joy, I love the colours, the light, and the total serenity of the scene.
Well seen, pardon the pun.

All the best to you and yours for 2013.
Pete.
