[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For this weeks theme I choose Love as prevailing. We all love someone; our parents, siblings, partners, children, friends and no matter how many problems arise and obstacles get in the way, love is the important thing which keeps us all going.

I have had this shot a long while in my archives but never had the opportunity to post it before. This elderly couple look like they have loved each other for a long time, as they sit looking at the beach and possibly their family below on the sand.

Not a perfect shot technically I know, it was taken with my little compact, but I have cropped out most of the flat sky and tried to improve the colour a little. The main thing here is the subject and the message.

Warm wishes for a Happy Christmas to all Treklensers.

Hi Joy.

Very nice touch with the image relating to the title and the theme for this week, i like the amount of light in the background. The sheen across the wet sand and the curves to the hillsides draw the eye in. The couple with love to share holds the scene together. tfs

stv ;o))

True love can prevail just about anything, and very nice contribution to Friday's theme. Shooting against the sun is difficult but you did a wonderful job. Good dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hi Joy

bonjour,
tout le regard de ce couple comme s'il veillait sur tout sa progéniture et le besoin de se reposer après avoir bien travaillé
Nicole

Hi Joy, it is the couple sitting in the fg that initially catch the eye and draw us into the picture; we want to look at what they are seeing.
This is a well balanced shot. I like the line of people on the edge of the water, probably making their way back to the car park!
A good light across the beach, creating silhouettes of all the people having fun.
Tfs, best wishes Jean.

Lovely idea for weekly theme. I think you underestimate the lovliness of this scene. A beautiful bay of sand and sunlit water.Nicely composed with good placement of couple. TFS
regards
David

Hi Joy, you dont need all the sky for this one anyway. The old couple watching the younger generations go through what they went through is enough. Fiona

Hi,excellent composition and light. Those two watching the people in the shimmering waters is wonderful. All the best,Otto.
