The title of my picture "And miles to go before I asleep", is from a famous poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" written by Robert Frost:

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there's some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

About the picture:

This was quite a challanging shot as I wanted the results of this picture, the way I planned. These wild (colorful) bushes are beautiful to see but they have enormous thorns...and to jump into them is not at all a fun :) but I did it - and that too to get my expetations fulfilled :)

In background, you can see the seawater. It has not the best color but I could not get better :(

Hope you all like it!

thanks and regards,

Paras

Bonjour Paras.
Bon choix de l’angle de prise de vue qui donne un bel effet graphique à cette composition.
Les couleurs d’octobre sont aussi parfaites.
Superbe.
Bonne journée.
Urs

Very beautiful picture.
Light, sharpness and details are great.
Excellent POV with the plants in foreground.

Hello, Paras -
This is an exceptional composition - the colorful and sharply shown flowers in the foreground are a wonderful introduction to the winding path and rolling hillside behind. Great approach to set up the shot this way.

Hello Paras

I like the shallow layer of focus on the purple & (mostly) yellow flowers, in the fg. Good shallow dof to achieve this, with excellent sharpness & mood. Tfs!

Hello Paras,
Perfect composition with diagonal and curved lines. Flowers art foreground adds dynamism and elegance to scene..
Bravo dear friend

Bonjour Paras,

Yolande

Hi Paras,
It is indeed a challenging shot and you succeeded in the best use of shallow DOF.
You wanted the violet flowers to emerge in the caption in focus while you adorned the FG with marvelous blurred yellow flowers!
The blurred BG again is complimenting the caption and giving a good sense of depth.
Great experiment, my friend.
You're worthy of an A+.
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hello Paras, you achieved your aim in showing us the beautiful plants from the cliff top and the path and the sea in the bg, well done.
Good composition imo.
Good sharpness too on the fg plants.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Paras,

Very colorful, with a good POV. The shallow DOF works nicely to keep focus on most of the foreground flowers while softening the background. The diagonal created by the flowered hillside divides the shot well. TFS

dear Paras,
this feeling of poetic space is nice,
fore colorful flowers and back winding road make fantastic and beautiful depth of space.
there is actual road but no need to walk on it,
the time is still to dream everything about this world,
no starting and no ending in it,
thank you for your wonderful shot,
Akihisa
