Hello everyone,we are Lanhydrock in Cornwall.
We had a wonderful tour of the house visiting 50 rooms, apparently.[I didn't count them, I am just quoting the guide book.]Then we went for a long walk all around the gardens and the grounds.
My post 'A folly?' was taken in the grounds here.
As you can see, we had come up a rise behind the house to enable this wonderful view of the house, gardens and surrounding landscape.
Perhaps I will post a closer view of the yew trees at the front of the house another day.

The property was given to the National Trust in 1953,along with 400 acres of grounds.

Thanks for looking, your comments are always appreciated.

Hi Jean
Beautiful grounds for this architecture that seems to date back a century or two. Very nice composition with good results especially on a dark day.

Oh Jean, what a place this looks. Super view looking down onto the house / house? more like a mansion to me!
Good POV, and the greens are very rich
