[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the many colorful and exotic wildflowers growing in the alpine garden at the Pont-de-Nant nature preserve in the mountains above the town of Bex.

From MySwitzerland.com: "The 'La Thomasia' Alpine garden provides an entrance to the reserve and the plants benefit from extremely favourable climatic conditions. Since its creation in 1891 by the Bex Development Society, the garden has kept adding to its collection. Over a surface of approximately 1 hectare, more than 70 artificial rocks, streams, ponds, peat bogs and a marsh have helped rare and spectacular plants thrive in this environment, which is sometimes extremely different to their natural environments."

Hu Sandy,
A wonderful wild flower well captured adorned with fabulous lighting and accurate sharpness.
A good DOF in this macro shot!
Nice violet color with beautiful tones and shades.
A complementing blurred BG
Nice details and composition.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Really nice Sandy! Wild is right!! That's one wild looking flower ... no idea what it is huh? I can usually venture a guess when it comes to flowers, but not this time.
Great shot .. love the vivid contrasting colors. Really nice use of shallow DOF to create that great bokeh in the BG.
Really good job

Hi Sandy,

nice color and good amount light here.
truely wild.

Hello Sandy!
Great vivid colours in your picture and nice point of view!
Sharp and fine image!
Well done!
Best regards!

Hello Sandy,

I have never seen this flower before but feel, because of your excellent sharp and detailed shot, that I would be able to recognise it, if I saw it.
The close up details are remarkable!
The inclusion of the adjacent stem adds interest to the composition and the narrow dof is just right!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
