[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My contribution to this Friday's Theme,i would like to present you the Kalmar castle ,Sweden.
Its construction began in the 12th century as a fortified tower .Later on in the 1280s King Magnus Ladulas ordered the construction of a fortress around the tower and was further expanded in the centuries that followed. One of the most important political events took place right here in the Kalmar castle in 1397 when the Kalmar Union was formed- a union of Denmark,Sweden and Norway,organized by Queen Margaret 1 of Denmark.The fortress was improved during the 16th century under the direction of King Gustav Vasa and his sons who turned the fortress into a castle fit for a renaissance king.Today it is one of Sweden 's best preserved renaissance castle.Located on the east coast close to the Oland island bridge.

This is a stunning shot to begin with, and the sepia really works well with it. Excellent use of the tree for natural framing and of the open spaces for composition strength. The crisp focus makes this a stand-out! Excellent

A perfect harmony, I've heard a little about the Kalmar Union when I traveled in Scandinavia, but never had the chance to see how the place looks like.

Belle image que je qualifierais de léchée,dans le sens que les textures sont pratiquement disparues,tout est lisse,soyeux tout en comportant une superbe clarté d'image.Bel effet visuel créé ici.Belle composition avec ce château bien placé entre les branches de l'arbre.J'aime beaucoup ces teintes variées de sépia.Très jolie photo!

Bonjour Carol,
Voilà une composition qui ne manque pas d'intérêt! Quel suberbe premier plan pour encadrer ce "château dans l'eau" comme dirait Félix Leclerc. L'ambiance est tout à fait surréaliste et la conversion en sépia ajoute à l'étrangeté de la scène! Magnifique! Bravo! Annie

Hi Carol,
Sma Land is one of my favorit suburbs in Sweden and the Castel you have framed in your camera is admiring. You really made me go back in my student days when I was student in Sweden.
The Picture is great award winning and I am becoming your fan. You did a wonderful job, Congrats. The tone matches the subject too good and the view through the "V" is making the picrure more attractive. Perfect sharpness and POV.

Du grand art, Carol!
Une cabane dans les arbres, comme celle de mon enfance à l'orée du bois!!
Cependant la mienne n'était pas doublée d'aussi beaux reflets ni encadrée aussi joliment!
Qualité photo digne d'un Linhof 8x10 et virée en laboratoire!
