Hi everybody,
I was going through my files and i found this picture. I really like it, even if is just an ordinary shot made by an eager tourist ;)
So for thsoe who never saw this place, this is "La Pedrera" one of the most famous and acclaimed works of catalonian architect Antonio Gaudi Cornet.
This house was build between 1906 and 1910 for Milà family. The caractheristics and shape make this one of the most particular constructions in the world, being, more than a building, a piece of art.
The roof of Casa Mila (as this building was formerly known)is what you are seeing here.
It is an special view, with its chamneys representing some fantasy of Gaudi's imagination. The building is part of the UNESCO as "World Heritage" since 1984.
So hope you enjoy the view ;)

Take care everyody, Stef :))

Hi Stefania

I like the superb scupltures & the central dip or curve. Perhaps a higher pov would help, but it may not have been possible? Good sharpness, color, & lighting. Bravo!

ALWAYS fascinating, stark and beautiful against the blue sky, (*_*)

wow. that is cool. I like your composition and the bright sunny feel of this one. Very inetersing architecture. Very nice! JP

Very interesting photo! And architecture! I am fascinated in what his mind was able to produce! I also like how you included another tourist in the image...really gives us a good scale on how big this place is! Thanks for sharing this with us!

... 'ordinary shot ba an eager tourist'.... Huh? You're kidding, my dear, or do they all just point and shoot from this point without being aware of a wonderful swungen line in the foreground opening and guiding the contemplator to the back of the view? IMHO, well seen and managed.

Hi Stef,
good shot! I love the earthy colours against the blue of the sky, and your composition is very interesting too, TFS!!
regards,
M.

Hi Stef,
This is an amazing building. I have learnt something new today thanks to you. I only wish that those ugly metal railings were not there. Great photo and TFS.

I think what makes this one stand out for me is the simplicity of the colours, the strong blue contrasting with the shades of brown, combined with the interesting shapes. Nice photo!

Wonderful and very interesting image. Along with your informative note I feel that I was there too! Great work!

Hello Stefania... The colours are impressive... Vertical composition is also well-used... I do like saturated tones...

Very good postcard of wonderful Gaudi architecture, Stef. The guy was so creative, a genius and also probably a bit crazy. Nothing to do with you but it is a bit too bad that the place is surrounded by this ugly fence. Nicely composed to give us a sense of the place. Well done!!!

Sorry, I have run out of goodies, so here a smile for you )))

Hi Stef,
Nice shot. The curves of the stairway is fun to look at. And the strange towers are whimsical. Nice composition, you give us a good view.
Well seen.

Great shot Stef, you were a natural photographer, even back when you were "an eager tourist". This is such a surreal place, and you captured it very nicely. thank you for showing me something new today. Sam

Très belle représentation de "La Pedrera", que je n'ai malheureusement pas eu le temps d'aller visité durant mon séjour à Barcelone …
Merci pour réparer mon manque de temps …
L’image est très réussie …
La prochaine fois je vais la visiter …
Antonio

Nice shot, Stef! Good idea to include the blue fence in your shot: it gives a good sense of depth and adds some dynamism because of its wavy shape. Great capture!

Oh Barcelona!!!! I had a chance to go there in October but somehow by a mistake I've lost it... ;( next time..
I love those unusual shapes created by Gaudi!!! Thanks for sharing, Stef!!
cheers

Hi Stef,
Beatiful shot.
Well done.

When we were on Mallorca on us the huge impression was made with modern Spanish architecture. In this picture you managed to show its all singularity and fancifulness of forms, thanks.
Very nice colors and composition!

Perfect Stef...the curves, the colours and the POV. Very good photo...my compliments.

Jos

Olá Stefania,
