Andalucian Topaz 2
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
The second image of the same lake I visited on my recent trip to the Eastern Costa Del Sol.
This lake is some 15kms from the coast and is called Vinuela. You reach the lake by taking the road from Velez Malaga towards Antequera. The road climbs into the Andalucian mountains that run parallel to the coast, and these mountains are very arid and dry. You turn a corner and wow!! there is this beautiful lake, which is deep topaz in colour. The lake is in a beautiful setting in front of the small town of Periana, which is the town that can be seen in the middle distance. This lake is actually a reservoir, the dam being to the left of the shot.
As well as the setting, the other striking this about this lake is the fish. The water is so clear that I was able to spot loads of really big fish swimming in the lake. I'm really suprised that there wasn't lots of fishermen on the banks trying to catch them.
I put the image thro the Neat Image plug-in again and it really works in reducing the noise thats caused with compression in resizing. It smooths edges out as well. The downside is that you loose some detail, but that goes in any case with the rs for TL.
Hope you like the shot. More from my Spanish oddesy later. Take Care,

How beautiful place, John.
