[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Starry, starry night
Paint your pallet blue and gray
Look out on the summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and daffodils
Catch the breeze and winter chill
In colors on the snowy linen land

Now I understand
What you tired to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen
The did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now

Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber gray
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand

Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen
They did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now

For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when your love was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you

Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn, a bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow

Now I think I know
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen
They're not listening still
Perhaps they never will

Superb!
Very successful croping.
I like much the tone of the image.
The composition is superb, space is quite occupied.

Great observation, Alban! A strong composition, very tight, with a beautiful light. TFS!

I am going to read the note later ... it is too long this time!!! :)

The scene couldn't be more perfect with those picture fragments reminding me of Van Gogh.

Very good observation and a very nicely composed image, Alban. You have included only the essential elements to make a very picture. Great light & colours. Well done!

Great, Alban! What was that? James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot? Bob Dylan? Now it's driving me nuts! Funny that when I went to Germany, the stations I would tune to were playing ALL of our stuff here in America from the 60's/70's/some 80's, it was almost like going back in time 25 years whenever I or my brother would turn on the radio. Stuff now is mostly junk, oftentimes bad remakes or violent and degraded such as rap/gangsta stuff.

Hello Alban,
congradulation for your creative composition!
The van Gogh like fragments work perfectly in this frame. The texture of the wall gives a unique atmosphere!

By the way, I'm very impressed your presentation of photos connected to a song (like 'silver in her hair...' - Pink Floyd).

Thanks.

Hi Alban,

A very strong composition, not only in colours and lighting, but also in feelings and emotions!
Great sharpness in textures and fantastic textures!!

Beautiful, Alban. I'm glad this turned up on the portal page. Nice work, I'd consider cloning out the sign near the left bottom edge, but that's just a detail.
