[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I saw this young boy sitting in a corner of the main square in Targu Jiu seemingly by himself , a little away in front of him his mother seated on a bench . I knew i wanted to photograph the little man , all around passers-by looking down at him smiling or amused but no-one would walk between him and her mother so the space in front of him was clear , kept that way and i even came to believe this was his space, a claim he made for himself .I siezed this moment on lens.
1/160 , f/5 , iso 80 in manual exposure program as always .
I played with the 'bloom' effect again in Photoscape and once again i liked the outcome in giving more ambience to the scene , vignetted , a little saturation and uploaded .
Thanks for the peek,

Hahahahahah This is soo cool!!
The kid really seems to own the place...
I think the space around it, really emphasizes the "size" of both the kid and the square.... very nice square crop as well.
Lovely work!

Hi Carol.
An amazing and cute shot of this little boy, amazing is its feeling as it really seems that he thinks to own the street and the white vignetting shades creates a little of fogy effect around the corners with bloom gives the boy an interesting look with beautiful glowing light.
My Best Wishes

Hi Carol

This shot is very artistic. Minimalist and a feeling of loneliness. great composition and respect of the rule of thethirds.
Great Shot
Nicely done

Hallo
A very beautiful picture. I like to have more expressiveness, a good choice and also POV brightness, color and ... inspiration ... A picture worth a maximum of punncte, but my overall assessment.
Congratulations!
Best regards
Ionela

Such a nice shot Carol. So soft and beautiful. TFS, Lori

Carol,
The obvious temptation would be to zoom in for a CU portrait - and I am sure that would be a fine image, but by your expansive composition is ideal for this mood.

Very well done.

Bonjour Carol,
Belle prise de vue de cet enfant qui est assis dans le coin du carré principale à Targu Jiu, il prend toute la place et se repose de sa fatique...
Belle composition et présentation..
Excellent cliché

HI Carol,
A very minimal composition, yet an artistic one!
Wonderful lighting on the pavement and such an accurate focusing on the child!
I like the vignette around the edges of the square format! Nice details and a fabulous positioning of the boy to conform with the thirds!
Great shot! My compliments!

Oh, how sweet! Extremely great capture and framing of this little boy, and I like the border (I wish I know how to do borders). The mood is soo soft and great use of the dof with sharp details. Nice colors and textures. Well done, tfs.

Just great composition and theme!! I love it...
The settings are perfect as you accomplished a 'very special mood' in terms of light, contrast and hues.
Vignette seems to help too, but I would like to see the original image to make a comparison.
Great photography... Different and excellent!

This is really great Carol, and brings a smile to my face. The way you've left so much space around him ... and especially the vignetting .. makes him look even more solitary. Great that you were able to find a moment with no one else in the scene. he truly looks like he's just been left there all alone, but of course what we don't see, is the mom not far away.

well done my friend.

Of course I haven´t seen it before...it is so cute. You have worked in a way that you lead our attention to him...the light nuances lead us. Delicious. He is lovely...but you made him the star with your work.
I have read your note and I will try this.
You have been a magical help to a magik kid.
um abraço
teresa
