[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On an early rise to capture the city of Horta during the blue hour, I decided to stay and wait of some of the heavy clouds would break and allow the sun to show her magic. It took a little while, but eventually the sun was producing some wonderful golden rays through the gabs in the cloud cover.

In the front you see a typical rural landscape of Faial and in the distance you can see part of its neighboring island Pico.

Hi Niek,
You were patiently waiting for the sunshine - but got even a more spectacular scene. :-) Besides the fantastic sunrays I love the way you used the 3 layers (ground, sea, sky) on the photo. Masterful artwork even without real sunshine. Bravo!

I love the positioning of this shot, the home, the coastline and the sky work as one.

Really magic, and see several seasons at same time: wintery on foreground, stormy in background, and still have sunshine !
At the same time you still have a colorful scenery!
