Hi Teresa.

Her eyes would say more than she would let on, her head turned away to distract. Knowing more and letting out the secret are two worlds apart....she will return, i'm sure.

Her combed hair has boldness and logic, the single hair pin placed for all to see.

She still looks down and away.

A vision to mull over...perfecto.

First of all congratulation for this original approach to the modest vanity of this lady! I like the treatment you adapted where you brought out such details in her combed hair. Maybe the light is too harsh, but it is increasing the drama to this presentation.

Greetings Teresa,
I find your images, most always evoke memories or emotions for me.This image is no different.I had a neighbour a few years back that set her hair this way, also a friend who up to now also set her hair this way.Both these women were artists,the neighbour,who was from Holland,was an artist,the friend is a professional photographer,so I always connect this type of hairstyle,to a person that is artistic,a generalization I know, but your image brings the memory of my kindly old neighbour, back into my head.

Your pictures do have a strong atmosphere and appeal, and the this one is no exception, Teresa!
I like the light and exposure in this shot.
Though one can't see the expressions of the woman but still this picture is expressive in its own way, just one has to see it - I must tell you that you have a talent for that!

Une vieille dame a été jeune.J'ai connu il ya quarante ans une septuagénéire qui se coiffait exactement comme cela .Il n'y a pas seulement un effet de mode, la coiffure est aussi un reflet de la personnalité.Comme toujours ta photo est le reflet d'une personnalité.Cette dame a de l'énergie, tu la révèles à travers ses cheveux un peu rêches et en utilisant un fort contraste.Mais dis moi, cette dame savait-elle que tu la photographiais ? C'est une question que j'ai déjà eu envie de te poser au sujet de tes "modèles" , la Marocaine dans la cuisine, la dame à lunettes portugaise etc...Et puis sous les cheveux sont entassés les souvenirs, les regrets , les fantasmes et ,sous le sépia artistique peut-être, fifty shades of grey ...?
Ton titre laisse entendre qu'il y aura d'autres women secrets.Qui sait s'il n'y en a pas une qui s'appelle Victoria?

This photo with a wonderful accompanying note tells us truly how a sentient photographer feels. Your note and photo--splendid as it is-- supplement each and one cannot be complete without the other.
