Reminds me of the Californication / Red Hot Chili Peppers album.
The paprika (as it is named in Dutch) looks very shiny.
However, in spite of the abundance of red, there seem to be some green/yellow cast in the image.

Greetings, Carla -
Very nice image with warm colors. I like the soft highlights on the rounded crown of the pepper. Good idea to compose the shot like this. Well done.
Well, then... You bought it and took it back home to shot it´s picture, right? Or did you shoot it at the market place?
Well, anyway, very nice pic!
Pimentão em nosso belo português?

For some reason, I look at it and get this medieval feeling, like it was taken in the present, but the image was of the past.
Might be the colours. I really like it alot, especially the way you composed it. The folds of the cloth in the background seem to be a tribute/juxtaposition of the folds near the stalk.

Great composition, with the pepper anchored securely in the frame and against the dark background. Love the rich vibrant colors and the light glow. Well done!

Hello Carla. I think you have captured this pepper so beautifully with the light from the left exposing the shape well. You have darkened the background well in bringing out the rich strong color of the subject. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

I wish you had included whole of the stem. However, the colour and the mood is great. Somehow very sensuous.

Beautiful study on shadows and light! The setting of the light is effective and the tight crop too! I love this irridiscent red against the dark blurred background! Bravo! Annie
PS/ You have an interesting and beautiful variety of photos in your gallery

Excellent exposure and angle of capturing.Like this Photo, Good Colours and Lighting,
It's a fine robust example of a "bell pepper", there might be a California variety. Good color and sharpness. The light is perfect and I'm wondering what that background is.
