Statue of Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer who organised the expedition that resulted in the first circumnavigation of the Earth.

Location: Chile Square, Arroios.

Statue offered by the Chilean government, inaugurated in 1950. It's a replica of the original statue located in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Hello Lauro, I cannot believe that no-one had made any comment after 67 views!
I like the b/w treatment, it somehow concentrates the eyes on the subject.I like the composition, with the statue of the famous explorer mid point with a good perspective looking back down the avenue.
Very sharp!
