[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
«Just Kids» is the title of a fantastic book that captures a moment when Patti Smith (the auteur) and the photographer Robert Mapplethorpe were young, inseparable, perfectly bohemian and completely unknown, to the point in which a touristy couple in Washington Square Park spied them in the early autumn of 1967 and argued about whether they were worth a snapshot. The woman thought they looked like artists. The man disagreed, saying dismissively: “They’re just kids!”

Greetings MB,it looks like these kids may be listening to a parent at a window or maybe asking a friend to come join them?
great decisive moment, which you have captured I think unknown to them,I like the tone you created,it adds to this scenes mood.
Cheers

Ron

Hello Jose, a super shot,I want to know what they are looking at! I guess that I will never know!
A beautiful sharp shot; excellent composition.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Ahh, to be kids again with nothing to worry about except what game to play. Nice capture of those children especially in B&W. Good lighting and dof with nice contrast. WEll done, tfs.

In the moview "goodbye Mr Chips" the teacher nicknamed Chips always touched his cap when he met the boys because he said you never knew what they might become. This is the lovely thing about "just kids" they have so much potential if shown consideration by adults. A charming shot showing the open and genuine curisoity and interest of children.
regards
David

Nice photo Jose, your subjects are sharp and a good candid capture of curious kids. Monotone captures a nice mood.

Bonjour José
Perfect crop to give the highest strongness to the shot.Very natural in attitude and interest shown by the children.I like particularly the pov both for the children and the bicycles
Sepia seems to be got directly from the original colour shot.It gives to the boy's pant a little soft touch of warm which is pleasant.
The man and the woman were right both , but the woman had this feeling , intuition and premonition that sometimes lack in men.Don't they ?
Best regards
henri
