Pussycat for Kilted

This posting is dedicated to my friend Kilted-Arab who loves snaps of cats. So in order to make his day I decided (as exception) to post this Dutch pussycat. It's one you shouldn't handle without gloves, as we speak in Holland :-)

Hope this doesn't spoils your day my big friend and cat lover!

PP talk: adjusted slightly contrast and brightness, and cropped.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Had a bloody awful day at work and having a last look here before heading out for a cheeky wee sauvignon blanc. I'll raise a glass to you for brightening my day :-)

Lovely cat portrait, nearly as good as the one I posted a while ago. Except that wasn't a cat, it was wee Jess in a costume...

Anyway, good light and tones on this one, very lifelike and well framed. Classic and publishable, big fella - really nice shot.

Good one Hans - A Dutch cat for KA - I love it. And I bet he does too.

Great capture, very sharp and clear - good focus - well done

Janice

PS I have added a theme for all of Richard's cats...

Nice Hans - like the square crop! Guess you don't want to get too close to put a reflector in front of his face heh??

Cheers
David

Hi Hans,

Very nice shot of this big cat. One is almost tempted to reach out and touch the fur. Well, at least she’s not looking right at us for the moment!

TFS,
Werner

What a wonderful kitty for our lovely friend Richard! He will surely love it! This is nice, a BIG KITTY! I wish his eyes were brighter, but that kitty is perfect for Richard!

Dit is meer een portret. En wat een scherpte.
Héél mooi.

Hi Hans,
I like your recent animal series, very good photos, such as this one. Nice capture of this lion's look, sharp and detailed exposition. I also like the square crop, I think this was the best solution for this composition. TFS, my friend!
Greetings,
Kristof

HI Hans
This opened up so slowly that by the time it got to the bridge of his nose thought it was a bear.
Cool looking shot, and love the look of keeping eyes on us.

Hi Hans,
This is one of the best 'cat' photos I have seen, straight out of the pages of National Geographic. well done.
Also, congratulations on your cricket teams win over England in the world 20/20 championships.
I must add....they were helped by a couple of kiwis :)
Pete.
