Dordrecht on the wide angle

TL.. standing here again in Dordrecht, see more about the place in my previous photo's..

Here I used my Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens
I M H O the best performance you get with this Lens
between F 8 till F 12 (here F 7.1 still ok)
Sharp from A till Z ?

Than an Idea for PhotoShop Users (and others )
My PS CS 2 and 3 comes with this *bridge* program to view..

Well.. there is a more simple way and works faster..
It works width: Windows 9x NT XP and Vista
And !!! you can view RAW format among many file types
In the 'file' option you can ajust after viewing a RAW photo you like to process, to open with Photo Shop
Go to :
The program itself has also some nice features.

Just logged back in and reading the critiques,
Friends..Pozzaru / Vlad and also Vandana2923 pointed something out to me..
A strange white blank on the left side of the Horizon
between the buildings.
NO IDEA what happend !?!?!?! I will add the photo again in the Workshop .. as it was and is.

Thanks for accepting my error and for the pop-in Folks

Hi John,

Impressive wide angle view of the town! Well composed photo, excellent perspective and clarity, also great colors and sky. TFS

Have a good week,

Hi there John!
Very nice angle! Great DOF and formation of clouds!

Ollie DLC

Hallo John,

Hello John.
Nice Impressive wide angle view, good perspective and POV.Well done.
Best Regards

Hi John, a wonderful view with a great sky you captured here.
I find the detail of the deck a nice one which add a lot to the compo.
I also have to say that I would have follow here the "rule of the third", as I posted in the workshop...ooops, as I wanted to post as workshop...is it disabled??

Love how you made use of the clouds and getting close to the water to give this so much depth. The post adding to the whole dimension.

selam John,,very good composition, colors and percpectıve great ,,good work

Hi John, I see here a similarity between the object on the right with the high buildings behind!-:)
Have a nice night.

Hi John,
Great tip about IrFanVIew. I'm using it for years now, and I agree that it is very usable.
Great wide angle view ! Great sky above it.
P.s.: op de een of andere manier zit die paal vooraan me tóch dwars. Het vergroot de diepte, dat zeker, maar ergens verlies je weer veel ruimtelijkheid .... zal wel aan m'n pet liggen.

Merhaba Dear John,
wonderful perspective.Very beautiful compo and colours.Congrats!!!
Greetings from Istanbul.

Superb John!

The wide angle lens was just the job here John and I think you are right about chosen aperture. Your composition is great, as is just about everything else. A lovely scene too!

What a great pov! A wonderful scene Great details and color. The white thing will be a mystery to all but it is Monday and the computer probably just had a brain cramp. I get quite a few on Mondays... TFs

hello JT,

probably the white thing is a ghost cloud passing by.. hehehe.. kidding..

anyway wonderful point of view from wide angle.. love the sky.. :)

Hi John
I like the honesty and the simplicity of this shot. It's uncomplicated and undemanding, and it offers a lungful of fresh air.
That kind of restraint in a photo is powerful.
Thank you for sharing

Hi John,
Breathtaking image. Good using of rule of third. Depthness and form of clouds marvelous.

Hello John
A great view with beautiful light and colors. I particulary like the dynamic of the sky caused by the wide angle. Indeed, the white blank is very strange. well done

Hi John
First off thanks for the link - software looks interesting - will take a closer look.
Right on - the Sigma did a fine job front to back - the rope is a nice addition as well as a flattering sky.

Hi John
Nice capture, good POV, nice light, well composed - so nice practice before the 5. May.

Interesting how sometimes these abnomalies occur John. A fine image and good colour and detail for what seemed to be a rather gloomy day. TFS,

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Tamar Tides V’...I must find that write up I mentioned.

De wolken zijn weer terug tegen het blauw. Het kietelt de zinnen. Mooi diep hier John; horizontaal dan!

Something seemed to have happened on the cybertrip from your computer to TL, John. A virtual alien ate some of your pixels, that's all I can think of.
Nice toy, this lens. Me, I'll have to stitch if I want a view like that.

Hello John,
Beautiful seascape, very good composition and point of view, excellent sharpness and depth of field, nice colors, good light and very nice sky.

Wat een effect deze lens, groots! Fijne dag jullie en doei

Hi John,
Very beautiful panoramic shot.Excellent colours, light and perspective.TFS.

Excellent perspective and sharpness! Great pov!
Those clouds invite to a roll... :)
I love your quote! It's quite interesting that I've been finding myself in the position of commenting on some pictures here on TL, and asking myself how much is the photographs contribution to all of this (the photo), other than simply, silently, "borrowing" the image...

Hoi John
What een 'lensie' man
Geweldig scherp over alle diepten
Geeft een mooi effect
