Taken in Simpson Bay St Maarten this May... This was our 1st of many amazing sunsets for the 7 days we spent on the island...
Today being the summer or Summer Solstice in the Northern hemisphere.. I know its winter for all of you in the southern Hemisphere

Here is some interesting info from : http://www.calendar-updates.com/info/holidays/us/summer.aspx

A common misconception is that the earth is further from the sun in winter than in summer. Actually, the Earth is closest to the sun in December which is winter in the Northern hemisphere.

Today is really the 1st day of summer for our 2 children.. It is the 1st FULL day of NO SCHOOL :)

PP work.. just a tiny, tiny, itsy, bitsy sharp, saturation and darken
I've also been messing around with aspect ration when cropping my photos! I've had major issues just cropping at my will and then trying to get them printed.. using the aspect ration give you a guide on what can be cropped for the size you want to print... sorry but its NEW TO ME :)

Have a wonderful weekend.. and ENJOY your SUMMER/WINTER :):)

Hi Tricia,

How lucky you were that there were some clouds in front of that setting sun.
A beautiful picture - a moment to enjoy.

I don't print my pictures, I make a collage or just 1 picture per page in PhotoFiltre using an A4 landscape with black BG (File/New/Preset Size) and after that I order a whole album, so no pasting in pictures in albums anymore for me. But it is as time consuming as just ordering pictures.

Hi Treen,
Strikingly beautiful. The clouds and the well formed sun setting in the horizon are attractive. Danilo

Hello Tricia,
I've also posted the sunset last spring day in the country scenery. I wish more clouds but the sun don't wait. I like such colours of the sky and silhouettesiluets on the horizon.
best regards, Pawel

very good sunset, i like very much the cloud in front of the sun, nice tones, well framed

Tricia Hi:
This is a WOW image. Beautifully done with a little PP (tiny, tiny, itsy, bisy) just wonderful, excellent note. Your composition is excellent with POV, colors, contrast and details. Congratulations, very well done.

I remember you had moved a rose bush and thought that it had not survived. I only know my wife leaves them alone a long time after moving them and more times than not they eventually do very well.

OH my! You get an award for this one Tricia!! Absolutely GOT to be the BEST one you've ever posted!! Just amazing! Nothing wrong with this one, perfect in everyway! Superb!! and I am outraged, this photo should have more attention than this!..what is wrong with you people??

Hi Tricia,
This is an excellent capture of the sunset and cloudscape! Superb handling of brightness and colours. The view is stunning.Maybe increasing the contrast would improve the picture even more. Nevertheless a great posting my dear!
