A little fun for Friday with some HPP in photoshop Elements 5

Here is Noah trying to surf the float.. but the real image is on the calmer side of Simpson Bay....

I'll add that one in a ws :)ws

I had extra time to play with some photos today! Tom is golfing with a few buddies! So here I am on the computer editing photos and spending time on TL :)

Any pp tips on how to better pp someone into a photo is greatly appreciated :)

My pp work... I opened both photos
used the magnetic lasso tool to select Noah
cut just him into a new layer then deleted the 1st layer
opened the splash photo
dragged Noah on to that
Sharpened
lightened
and added a little darkness to the bottom of the float

Have a wonderful weekend

I can not wait until Noah gets home from school to get his reaction :)

Fantastic action capture!
I love the way you have layered the two -- looks darned dangerous! (I'd have been VERY concerned if that had been REAL!)

Love the action shot and it looks like he is balancing himself well. The surf adds to the drama. It inspires me to take some action shots. I just hope that he stays away from the rock in the foreground.

Hi Tricia,

This is superb PP work! Nevertheless an other TL member didn't even notice your great labor [Razor sharp ..nicely framed Catch of water is a plus!...???]

You did a great job here, almost unnoticeable how you did it, even funny to see how Noah eventually is soaring at the quiet sea.

Hi Tricia,

Noah must be over the moon with this extreme-sports picture - for a moment I was terribly afraid that he had put himself in danger - I see rocks and all those waves crashing ashore!!

Fantastic deep colours and action.

Impressive PP work Tricia. Good colour and light but I feel his float may have been ripped up by the rocks :)
David

Good PP work as the two pictures work so well together, and the cut and paste is all but impossible to see. A superb action picture, really well constructed.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

This is such a great shot Tricia! You get an award for this one! Excellent stop action shot! Really bold colors on this! Just incredible! I could not tell there was pp work on this! You have great skills! I just LOVE to boogey board and we do it everytime we are at the beach! It's such a blast!..I could spend hours out there..like a kid! Oh to be this little again!
Oh man I forgot to come back and give you points on this..yikes! Shame on me!
