[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Late May is appropriate time to enjoy sunbathing , the soft golden sand and shallow water of this well protected beach invite tourists and locals to linger around. Although the water is still cold these two kids weren't seemingly too inconvenienced , the water in shallow depth is easier to warm up under a hot sun, seen here is my wife checking the temperature of the water while looking over to the children .
I see fish heading toward my spouse attesting to the excellent clarity of the water here.
Processed from a scanned image taken in 2005 during a day visit to Monaco which is easy to reach by train from anywhere along the Mediterranean coast , we did get here by train from our campground in Menton a few minutes away to the east.
Thank you Raimundo for opening the first Friday theme of the year , in line with the theme idea and objective this is one of those photos that was left aside for future submission but simply kept on the back burner forgotten , it's now part of my gallery ,
Thanks for reviewing ,
Carol

Hi Carol! Nice to see your addition to the theme.
I like this ... the colors make one think of a very old photo. I know this one isn't that old, but maybe because it's a scan, it has that feel. A very nicely composed shot ... much interest here. An appropriate amount of sky left above the grand buildings, and a beautiful scene in front with G and the two little kids, and that lovely water.
Have a great weekend my friend
Trudy

Parabéns!
Sergio

(*) I did a WS and hope you don't mind.

A nice work where you present your memories in a nice picture, Carol!

The colors of the water and mood you have caught are amazing.
The light is well caught and a good exposure is achieved in this scene.

Well thought entry to Friday's theme!

Have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,
Paras

Welcome back dear Carol!
We are both posting from May but yours of 2005 and mine is 2011!

Here you show us the beautiful atmosphere of one May at the beach captured with superb DOF and details and vivid colors right from the sand to the BG light blue tones while your POV is well chosen to cover the subject well.

Kind Regards
mushtaq

Hi Carol,
A nice one. Pretty good quality for a scanned image. Normally I don't like to see tall condo buildings on the sea shore, but this feels kind of nicely blended in with the scene.

Hi Carol
What a beautiful beach, and what a nice building at back
The green tone across the shot added to its beauty
and the frame completes your shot
Best wishes

Hello Carol,

I'm in 2 minds about the workshop. ON the one hand the crop makes it simpler but on the other hand the highrise is a fact of life & should be included along with the steep hills behind to show context. Good colour & sharpness & thanks for joining in the Friday theme fun!

Carol,
A great addition to the Friday theme with good use of DOF capturing both FG and BG details. An interesting compostition with many details available to he viewer's eye and the beautiful beach front leading to the resorts in the BG has both an intimate feeling set against the large structures.
Very Well Done
LAB

Beautiful beach scene and a good capture of this huge building. I feel sorry for the people behind this structure, can't see ocean anymore but I suppose that's progress. Good pov and dof with nice details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.
