A yellow carpet of flowers in front of the majestic Parish Church of Msida, Malta.

Msida became a parish in 1867 and for several years the old church of the Immaculate Conception served as the parish church which still exists today. The present parish church was built in the late 19th century and is dedicated to St Joseph.
The design is typical of the traditional baroque churches prevalent a century before, but the Maltese were still adhered to this style, especially for churches. The plan is conventional and takes the form of a three-aisled Latin Cross, which was the most frequently adopted plan in the design of local parish churches. The façade comprises of a series of bays with the two outer bays surmounted by well-proportioned bell-towers. Lorenzo Gafa’s design for St Catherine parish church of Żejtun appears to have been the source upon which the architect Andrea Grima based his design. However, the main artistic highlight lies within the interior of the church with a mystical fresco painting over the choir vault depicting the death of St Joseph.

Bom dia Francis,
In the thumbnail realizes that it is a picture of you.
And this one is particularly beautiful, with that repeated intense yellow, very warm colors and bright lights.
Excellent depth of field and all the details captured.
All the best,
R.

Hellow Francis,
Sure is a good title for this interesting image.Very good depth throughout showing detailed flowers and the archetectural design of the Parish Church.Nicely seen and well presented MF.

Love the contrast and a very smooth BG church architectural contrasting with your yellow carpet so beautifully Francis

You captured a lovely light and well kept exposure in order to bring nice details in these artistic flowers.
The colors are natural and DOF is well kept.

Michel....ps .in vacancy for the next week...

Hello my friend Francis,
A deviation from your preferred genre, I think, and demonstrating your photographic versatility. What a beautiful image in all respects. Excellent composition with the flowers in the FG, the bush on the left and the church with all its strong and compelling elements as the real centre of interest. I have only one remark and that is about the TV aerials on the roofs of the houses on the right which can be easily removed, but that is a very minor issue. What a pleasure to view. Well done and best wishes.

Hi Francis.

Impressive and enjoysble angle used to show off this presentation of yours, the yellow carpet of blooms lays well in contrast to the builsing and its stonework, tfs

stv ;o))

Though the picture contains a bit of noise but overall it is a well executed work, Francis!

In spite of poor light conditions you managed to get a good exposure.
The sharpness and details are nice and colors are original.
Good contrasts within this daily life scene!

Greetings,

Mes compliments.
Agréable journée
Salutations. Yolande
