You not only captured a certain feline attitude, but there also is something human in the look of this cat. How do you make your cat almost pose like a human model? ;o) Mine will always move or look away at the very moment that I press the shutter :o|
Besides that, I think the “human” dimension of this animal portrait also results from the way you pictured the cat, partly hiding its face as one often does with human models. Very well seen and done!
Finally, I like the rather “gritty” black-and-white treatment. Maybe that “grittiness” is due to a strong crop and sharpening (just a guess...), but anyway, it creates an enigmatic mood.
