|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Happy New Year everyone. Yes I know it is like 4 days into it. But wanting to wish you all a very creative and resourceful 2009!|
This is a blending of two images. One is a picture I made for the tourism blog I am writing now for Riga & Latvia. From the Candle bar (kinda in the fore-front) and then background is from a picture by the local River in the North of Latvia. The Ruja river. So it is a mix of city and country from this mid-winter season.
A new friend from another new work (Thanks Aldis) showed me this technique in photoshop. Using the small "create new layer" button beside the "rubbish bin" in the layer window. Then copying from another image into that layer. And picking "multiply" in this case from the 'mode' list to the top right. I find that different sets of two or three images need different modes to bring them out together. Then changing opacity to suit the blending of the images.
OK well I will post later the link to the tourism blog. And wishing you all either a wonderful middle of winter, or a wonderful middle of summer depending on Hemisphere! :)
Kind regards to all
