I like the effect very much. It's interesting and modern. Have you thought about extending the border area to the top of the image? The other three sides border nicely.

You have figured out some terrific tricks with that lens correction filter! I love the extended lines on the three sides, leaving the top one as a vertical opening for the image (the steeple needs the room...hehe). The tilt of the buildings adds to the upper open feeling, and those electric wires criss-cross at another important point of visual interest. I think it might be good to clone out the piece of something at the upper right edge so it doesn't distract. At first I thought the divided light on the wire was the distraction, but then I realized it was the other fragment at the edge...and the one on the wire is actually a clever amusement:) Great work!
