Marostica is a comune and town located in the Veneto region of Italy in the province of Vicenza. The name of the town can be traced to the Venetic language and refers to the hills and the streams that descend from the nearby mountains. The name of the town literally means "one which has mountains and hills".
Several ancient objects and artifacts dating back to the Venetic times have been found from the region from the first millennium B.C. The town is very famous for its yearly living chess event and for its excellent quality cherries. The economy of the town is based mainly on agriculture and cattle breeding.

Hi Silvio,
Nicely angled with the tourists in the foreground giving scale to the wall.Archetectural details have been brought across in great detail and overall well exposed.Clouded sky giving depth to the image, well captured.

Hi Silvio.

Much history associates with this image, the stonework and design of this building is very pleasing. I like the sapes to the upper half and the grey skies seem to suit the scene.

Hi Silvio

Please understand these are simply my personal opinions and are meant to be constructive and not cause any offence. And, of course, you have the option of accepting or rejecting my comments.

I think you have nade he most of what appears to be poor light from the weather. The sky is very dramatic and pleasing. The whole image has a nice feel to it. My only criticism is the tops of two flags are cropped out.
A good capture.

Looks like this old fort has seen better days but old architectures are more durable than the modern ones. Nicely captured with good lighting and sharp details. Nice catch of the rain clouds. Well done, tfs.

Hi Silvio

Good sharpness & the people add scale & context to the old stone castle. I like the color added by the flags and their repetition. Excellent control over perspective and superb shadow detail & diffused lighting. Tfs!

Hi Silvio,

The presence of the people is giving a sense of life to the scene. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the castle. The gray sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre

bonsoir Silvio
a very typîcal italian castle of middle ages; nice colour of stone against the stormy sky.It makes me think of the castle of Sirmione on Lago di Garda.
Bonne fin de soirée et amicalement
