Everywhere that you go in Tuscany you will see olive trees growing.Easily recognised by their height and the lovely green of their foliage.
Where it is farmed, you will see neatly arranged groves of olive trees.
This shot was taken just outside the ancient walls of San Gimignano, looking across the Siennese countryside.

Thanks for looking.

Nice study of the olive tree Jean, the colour and detail is so right.

The icing on the cake, is the lovely scene in the distance, well seen...pardon the pun.
Cheers,
Pete.

Ciao Jean, lovely and peaceful composition with olive in FG, wonderful natural colors and splendid clarity, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

I like your thinking with this one Jean. Such a shame the sky wasn't a deep, clear blue!

I like the POV you've got with the branch, leaves and olives. The main subject is sharp!

David

I like the idea and the light falling on the part of this olive tree, Jean!
Good sharpness and well caught mood in this country side scene of Tuscany, a place with great landscapes and olive cultivation.
Well caught light and a peaceful BG.

Kind regards,
Paras

Hi Jean.

Very nice idea to capture the olive tree with a snippet of countryside in the background. looks like there is vigourous growth to the branches, the olives do look good. The focal point is good, so is the colours...i'm going to be a little picky here now, i would have cropped out an inch of the right side to get rid of those branches bottom right....i said i was going to be picky.
Neat job, well seen and taken Jean, I'm sure your missing the place now.

stv ;o))

I think, shooting into the sky you managed the exposure really well. Everything you want to be sharp is. I agree with Suzley, but perhaps I would have cropped a little more, maybe the sky above the vine holding the grapes, and the branch on the right. Still a shot to be proud of. Thanks for sharing.

Another lovely landscape from Tuscany Jean. I like the composition with the olive tree framing the hills in the distance. The overcast sky has certainly brought out the greens of the countryside. Nice idea to use a square frame here. I have bought an olive tree from Tesco this year, but I don't think it will do as well as this one!

Hi Jean,
A great shot. Nice capture of the countryside through the olive leaves. By the way, I have been to San Gimignano and loved the small town on the hill top with all those towers.
Sunil

Your distant perspective is nicely framed by this attractive olive tree. Good exposure value despite the cloudy sky.TFS

Bonjour Jean,

Exceptionnelle vue et judicieuse position de la branche d'olivier qui donne une profondeur jusqu'à la pointe de la colline.
Les tonalités sont harmonieuses avec une douce clarté.
Très bien réalisé. Mes compliments.TFS
Belle soirée. Cordialement.
