'A popular view' of the Ponte Vecchio.

I did take other shots of this famous bridge from a variety of places, but there was a haze over the city, which prevented a really clear and sharp view.
So it wasn't until we were walking along the riverside that I was able to get a reasonably sharp shot.

"The Old Bridge dates back to around 1345, and replaced an even older bridge built by the Romans.

In 1944,when the Nazis blew up all the bridges in Florence to stall the Allies' advance, this was the only one to be spared. It retains its medieval appearance, lined with shops and apartments, giving it a higgledy-piggledy appearance.

At one time it was the haunt of butchers and tanners, but the smell became so bad in the late 16th century that they were evicted to make way for goldsmiths. The jewellers are still there today!"

Hi Jean,
A popular view, indeed! And a temptation to every photographer to take photos from this POV of the Ponte Vecchio.
Another marvel in Florence, Italy. Such superb architecture and a splendid reflection. Perfect lighting and such a neat presentation.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Olá Jean,
But it's the way you see, focus and capture with color, light and shade you choose.
Excellent capture, especially the beautiful reflections on the calm waters of the Arno in this moment.

Hello Jean,

This vehicle bridge looks lovely even several hundred years have been passed. Many tourists take snapshot of this attraction in Firenze and your composition has two salient features. Primarily the water tone of the Arno River is peculiar and secondarily reflection of the bridge on the water surace. A beautiful snapshot. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Kind Regards,
Inaam

Hi Jean.

Such an infamous bridge, used in many an old classic film.
I like the angle and presentation, The colour to the water is vibrant to say the least. Very good mix of walls in light and shade, their pastel colours shine out. Naet job Fean and notes attached. tfs

Wonderful exposure you have got here, Jean!

The light and details are fantastic with amazing color contrast to the sky.
I like the mirror-reflection of the bridge on the calm waters.
Good sharpness and clarity too.
Well done!

Hi Jean,
Interesting the way the old bridge and the yellow building make an almost v shape and adding depth to the scene.

Hi Jean:)
What a great presentation, I had no idea that they build some small houses on/in the bridge.
Very nice POV and great details.
Only sky is a bit OE...
Greetings - Tom:)

A beautiful capture. Everything is sharp and in focus. The colours are excellent. Personally, I thought the sky was very slightly overexposed. Also, what I found irritating was the hard white line going down the middle support (which I thought could have been burnt away), and I thought it could have been cropped to remove the algae and the part windows on the left. But I do tend to be very very pedantic when I'm critiquing.
