My entry for the theme is one from the archives, taken with my film SLR, before I moved to a digital camera.

It was taken on a trip to Sardinia and we were visiting the town of Bossa. It was early afternoon and everywhere was very quiet, as it was siesta time. This old door led from the street into one of the churches and after looking around I decided to take this shot. The carving on the door attracted me, as well as the colour and I chose this angle as it gave me a view of the street outside and the warm sunshine.

I uploaded the shot from a disc and the only PP work necessary was a slight crop and resize.

Hello Joy.

Wow, now thats a door, looks to have seen a few people knock on it. I like the angle adopted across to the far door. Welldone.

Great suggestion for the theme title this week, it looks like it has been well represented this week.

Hi Joy,

I like the idea to use the door frame for framing the other building. The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the door. There is a good contrast between the colors of the door and the colors of the wall. have a nice day.

Pierre

Looks like the door has been around for sometime, that's from the texture of the paint. Nicely captured with nice opening to the street. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Joy :)

Splendid idea of seizing the door through the opening of the different door.
Very original composition, interesting details, natural colours
and good light, I like him very much.
The whole enrolls in Friday theme perfectly.

Best wishes...Barbara.

Hello Joy, thanks for suggesting this theme, it is an interesting one!
Looking through doorways like this is always worthy of a shot. The door offers lots of interest with all its pattern, and contrasts with the bright sunlit street and another door and window.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Bonjour Joy,
Here I like the repetitive pattern made by the two doors. Just wished there would be more space on the right, so that we see the whole frame of the door...
Nice theme idea.

Though the technical quality of the picture is not that sound but still it didn't loose its charm IMHO, Joy!

The contrasts are fantastic and colors being intense do add to the overall appeal of the picture.
A nice perspective.

Best wishes,
Paras
